Salem had lost nine straight on the road dating back to last season, but  on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 1-7 to make it ten. They came up short against  the Woodstown Wolverines, falling  11-4. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing  12-2 to the Wolverines when the teams met back in May of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Woodstown, they now  have a winning record of 5-4. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their one-run performance the  game before.
For Woodstown's part,  Johanna Way spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned  (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks.
 At the plate,  Talia Guardascione was a standout: she went a perfect 1-for-1 with one  home run, two  runs,  and one  stolen base. That  home run was  her first of the season.  Sadie Moore was another key player,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with three  stolen bases and two  runs.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Salem will welcome Cumberland  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Rams are facing the Colts at the right time seeing as the Colts are stuck on  a  three-game losing streak. As for Woodstown, they will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against Kingsway  at 4:00  p.m.
