Basketball Recap: Ligonier Valley Wins Going Away Against Yough

Ligonier Valley lost to Yough back in December of 2021, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The stars were shining brightly for the Ligonier Valley Rams in a 53-38 win over the Yough Cougars. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.

Ligonier Valley has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Yough, their loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ligonier Valley will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Waynesburg Central at 7:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025. As for Yough, they will venture away from home to challenge Charleroi at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
