Rockford dropped their record down to 14-2 on Monday, which also ended the team's ten-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Annandale Cardinals by a score of 3-1. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Rockets couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Annandale, the win got them back to even at 7-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since May 28, 2024.

For Annandale's part, Austin Politte tossed a big game, striking out six batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cameron Ergen, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one double. Nick Olson was another key player, earning one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.
