The East Lyme Vikings had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Waterford on Thursday and snuck past 35-33. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
It was another big night for Aidan Patterson, who rushed for 183 yards and three touchdowns. Patterson hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for three straight games.
Waterford's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Parker Spencer, who picked up 79 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Jax Higgins was another key contributor, throwing for 156 yards and three touchdowns.
The win got East Lyme back to even at 5-5. As for Waterford, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
East Lyme does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Waterford also has no future games currently scheduled.
