The Countryside Christian Minutemen will square off against the Jefferson County Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Emory Alford made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one run. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI.

In other batting news, Jace Reustle was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brayden Dalton, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-5.
Countryside Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .515. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Jefferson County fell victim to Franklin County and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 14-0 to the Seahawks.
Countryside Christian's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Jefferson County, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
Jefferson County's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Countryside Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .337.
