Coastal Academy's rough 29-8 loss to Foothills Christian might stick with them for a while. The contest was a 8-8 toss-up at halftime, but Coastal Academy couldn't answer the 21 points Foothills Christian scored afterwards.
Coastal Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Nolan White, who rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown, and Judah Jaggers who picked up 102 receiving yards.
Foothills Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ben Hernandez, who rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. Hernandez is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kameron Brown, who rushed for 146 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.
Coastal Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Foothills Christian, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Coastal Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Foothills Christian will take on St. Joseph Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (St. Joseph Academy is ranked 12th, while Foothills Christian is ranked 18th).
