Adding to the longest winning streak in Mojave River this week, Serrano beat Apple Valley 17-0. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Diamondbacks.
Sultana lost to Hesperia 41-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Oak Hills's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Nolan Brammer threw for 372 and 4 touchdowns and Gino Mastandrea had 132 yards receiving. On the ground Mastandrea contributed 158 yards. Ryan McClain helped Oak Hills' passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 75 yards.
Kennedy Emesibe was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Bulldogs bested Burroughs. The 6-foot-3 defensive lineman grabbed 3 sacks.
He was 20-28 with 1 interception.
Mastandrea was the best wideout in the league this week as Oak Hills topped the Burros. Mastandrea tallied 4 receptions for 132 yards. McClain helped Oak Hills' passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 75 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Brammer and De Zhontaey flecher, Robert Kistner's team has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Brammer is tops in the league in passing with 2,041 yards, while flecher has rushed for 1,351 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is the Scorpions' Christopher Crummel, with 916 yards on 62 catches.
Crummel of the Hesperia's is a few catches away from breaking 1,000 yards for the season. He needs only 84 receiving yards in this week's game against San Gorgonio to get there. So far this year, he has garnered 62 catches for 916 yards.
Going into this week's contest against the Spartans, Jeremy Topete's team's Austin Williams needs 169 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season. So far this year, Williams has thrown for 1,831 yards with 21 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
The Bulldogs led the league in scoring this week by notching 42 points on Burroughs. Brammer ran for 19 yards in the win.
