Arlington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 15-6 to the Wilmington Wildcats. On the bright side, the six- run performance marked the Spy Ponders' highest-scoring game to date.

Zanna Felton-Quinn was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that she has brought in this season. Another player making a difference was Shai Forest, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Arlington's loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Arlington will host Belmont at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spy Ponders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Marauders have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Wilmington, they will challenge Masconomet Regional at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
