Kankakee Trinity Academy had a senior duo take command as Tommy Kujawa scored 19 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals and Luke Green scored 14 points along with 8 assists and 5 rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Kujawa has scored at least 25% of Kankakee Trinity Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Adamson, who scored 4 points along with 5 steals.
Heritage Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ivan Smits, who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds. Aaron Regnerus was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with 8 rebounds.
Kankakee Trinity Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Heritage Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.
Kankakee Trinity Academy will be playing at home against Cornerstone Christian Academy/Calvary Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Heritage Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against HomeSchool Resource Center at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. HomeSchool Resource Center is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
