Matthew Bywater Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Saturday, Litchfield/Mt. Olive got the W thanks in part to Matthew Bywater playing the best football he has all season. Bywater picked up 124 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 42 yards and a touchdown. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 77 yards.
The victory got Litchfield/Mt. Olive back to even at 3-3. Bywater and Litchfield/Mt. Olive will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Pana at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.

Wyatt Kile produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Pana to the win on Friday. Kile threw for 181 yards and three touchdowns on perfect 6-for-6 passing, and also rushed for 35 yards and two touchdowns.
Kile is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Gillespie on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Kile saw the Miners), he threw for 133 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 103 yards on only seven carries.

Ethan Saathoff produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Litchfield/Mt. Olive to the win on Saturday. Saathoff threw for 228 yards and four touchdowns on only 16 passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
