The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Phoenix Day School for the Deaf in their matchups with Cicero Prep Academy: they've now lost three in a row.
Pearl Williams and Valentina Gutierrez certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Williams scored five points along with ten rebounds, while Gutierrez scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Phoenix Day School for the Deaf's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-12. As for Cicero Prep Academy, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-9.

Cicero Prep Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Phoenix Country Day at 5:30 p.m. on January 17th.
