Basketball Recap: Notre Dame Sets Scoring Season-High Against Rim of the World

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Notre Dame). Everything went their way against the Rim of the World Fighting Scots on Friday as the Notre Dame Titans made off with a 65-40 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Titans have posted since February 7th.

Notre Dame's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaxon Coduti, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten boards. Coduti is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Caiden Broughton, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds.

Notre Dame smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

With the win, Notre Dame broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-7. As for Rim of the World, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-12.

Notre Dame and Valley View will round out the year against one another at at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Notre Dame is facing Valley View at the right time seeing as Valley View is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Rim of the World, they will take on Corona in a tournament on Friday. Corona knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Rim of the World likes a good challenge.
