3A/4A Greater Spokane recap Oct. 16, 2012
Gonzaga Prep extended the longest winning streak in 3A/4A Greater Spokane this week by beating Rogers, 52-14. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Bullpups.
Ferris' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Saxons feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Christian Olson has thrown for 1151 yards and nine touchdowns this season, while Jalen Hicks has 16 catches for 401 yards. Christian Shaffer leads the league in rushing with 369 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when University takes on Ferris. As it stands, the Titans are in fifth, while the Saxons are in second.
Shadle Park made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,664 from 5,044. The advance stemmed from a 34-9 victory over North Central last week.
