Athens won the last time they faced Berkley and things went their way on Monday too. The Red Hawks took down the Bears 61-44.

Several Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Drew Sermo, who posted ten points and five assists. Another player making a difference was Sam Sermo, who earned ten points.

The win got Athens back to even at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Athens will welcome University at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Berkley, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Seaholm at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
