Several Fighting Zebras players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacob Butler, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten rebounds. Butler has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more blocks the last ten times he's played. Mason Volzer was another key player, going 9-for-14 on his way to 23 points.
Fairfield had a senior duo take command as Johnnie Jones dropped a double-double with 25 points and 13 boards and Amarre Davis went 10-for-21 en route to 29 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Davis has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jose Saucedo, who posted eight points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.
Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 21-8. As for Fairfield, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 21-8.
