The Covenant Classical Cavaliers entered their tilt with the Calvary Academy Lions with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Covenant Classical took their game at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 70-0 victory over Calvary Academy. Considering Covenant Classical has won eight matchups by more than 43 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Covenant Classical found their leader in underclassman Hudson Williams, who threw for 232 yards and six touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Clifton, who gained 51 total yards and two touchdowns.
Covenant Classical's win was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points per game. As for Calvary Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.
Covenant Classical will look to defend their home field on Friday against Dallas Lutheran at 12:00 p.m. Dallas Lutheran will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 137th, while Covenant Classical is ranked 14th). Calvary Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
