The Archbishop Carroll Lions put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Georgetown Visitation Prep with points to spare, taking the game 52-37. For Archbishop Carroll, this counts as revenge for the 54-34 defeat Georgetown Visitation Prep walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2019.
Archbishop Carroll found their leader in underclassman Nyair McCoy, who scored 15 points along with nine assists and six steals. The match was McCoy's third in a row with at least ten points. Aliyah Duncan was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds.
Archbishop Carroll pushed their record up to 6-0 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Georgetown Visitation Prep, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Archbishop Carroll will be home for the holidays to greet Saint John Paul the Great Catholic at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Saint John Paul the Great Catholic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 36 on Saturday. Georgetown Visitation Prep will be home for the holidays to greet Goretti at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
