After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Prospect Ridge Academy, Brush was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victor by an 11-4 margin over the Bennett Tigers. The victory continues a trend for the Beetdiggers in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won five in a row.

Percy Odle was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 4-for-5.

In other batting news, Landon Mesch was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Brush was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .486. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bennett only posted a batting average of .143.

Brush now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Bennett, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Brush will venture away from home to square off against Alamosa at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bennett, they will welcome Platte Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
