The Strathmore Spartans will square off against the Exeter Monarchs at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Strathmore is coming into the  match hot, having won their last six games.
While Strathmore didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Wonderful College Prep Academy 14-4 on Thursday. Considering the Spartans have won seven games by more than six  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.

 Anabelle Benavides and  Avery Behrens did most of the damage at the plate:  Benavides  went a perfect 3-for-3 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  double, while  Behrens  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4. Behrens is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last three games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Elisabeth Ceballos, who  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 1-for-3.
 They weren't the only ones working in the  hit department: Strathmore  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 12  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least nine  hits in six consecutive  contests.
 Meanwhile, Exeter won against Hoover  on Saturday with four  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Tuesday. Exeter beat Roosevelt by the very same score they won with in their prior game:  4-3. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Monarchs.
 Strathmore's victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 8-2. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Exeter, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
 Strathmore suffered a grim  13-3 defeat to Exeter  when the teams last played  back in March of 2024. Can Strathmore avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
