The Polk County Wildcats pushed their score all the way to 59 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. Their rough 83-59 defeat to Franklin might stick with them for a while. Polk County lost against Franklin in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 82-52 score last time.
Max Mcclure was his usual excellent self, shooting 4-for-8 from deep and dropping a double-double on 42 points and 16 rebounds for Franklin. The game was Mcclure's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Reed Raby, who scored 13 points.
Polk County now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Franklin, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.
