The Andover Trojans won the last time they faced the South Cougars, and things went their way on Friday too. Andover blew past South, posting a 72-37 victory on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Andover has managed all season.
Leading Andover to victory were Blake Rucker and Joshua Kim. Rucker scored 22 points along with seven rebounds, while Kim scored 21 points along with six assists and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kim has scored all season. Tanner Woolston was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Andover's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points per game. As for South, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Andover will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Salina Central on January 26th. As for South, they will be playing at home against Abilene on Thursday. Abilene will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
