The Cranfills Gap Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight defeat. They fell just short of Gholson by a score of 48-46. Cranfills Gap was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Gholson apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Gholson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aaron Salinas, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayden Thomas, who scored 11 points.
Cranfills Gap's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Gholson, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-11.
Cranfills Gap will head out on the road to challenge Aquilla at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Gholson, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Mount Calm at 7:00 p.m. Gholson is facing Mount Calm at the right time seeing as Mount Calm is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
