Notre Dame Catholic lost on Thursday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kendra Mitacek, who scored 16 points. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Niah Africot, who scored six points.
Notre Dame Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Pomperaug, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Notre Dame Catholic will take on Masuk at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Masuk presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Notre Dame Catholic in Connecticut (Masuk is ranked 16th, while Notre Dame Catholic is ranked 114th). As for Pomperaug, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Stratford at 7:00 p.m. on January 8th. Stratford is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
