While it was all tied up 21-21 at halftime, the Portland Panthers were not quite the White House Blue Devils's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They took a 71-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Devils. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
White House got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Louis Taylor out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ryan Worrell, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine assists.
This is the second loss in a row for Portland and nudges their season record down to 14-11. As for White House, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-5.
Portland will head out on the road to square off against Greenbrier at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for White House, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Macon County at 7:30 p.m.
