Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cedar Ridge). They were the clear victor by a 55-31 margin over the Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Fighting Red Wolves considering their 17-point performance the match before.

Despite the loss, Durham School of the Arts saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Faith Yon went 7 for 14 on her way to 21 points and four steals. Yon is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games she's played dating back to last season.

Cedar Ridge's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3. As for Durham School of the Arts, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Cedar Ridge will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Eno River Academy at 6:00 p.m. As for Durham School of the Arts, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-15 defeat against Jordan on the 10th.
