AA Region III recap October 8, 2013
Fairfield Central extended the longest winning streak in AA Region III this week by beating Columbia, 50-0. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Fairfield Central took down the Capitals 50-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. DeAndre Belton threw for 122 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 31 yards during the win.
Belton put up the best numbers through the air as Demetrius Davis' team topped Columbia. Belton's favorite target this week was Kewaun Squirewell, who caught 2 passes for 48 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Griffins' Belton and Squirewell have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-0 quarterback Belton has thrown for 907 yards this season, while Squirewell has 17 catches for 318 yards. Keenan's Peter Easaw leads the league in rushing yards with 571.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Kemper Amick's team takes on the Raiders. The Capitals are currently in fifth, while Keenan is in second.
