It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Belle Vernon Leopards had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past East Allegheny 49-8 on the road. The result was nothing new for Belle Vernon, who have now won nine matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
It was another big night for Quinton Martin, who rushed for 149 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, and also caught a touchdown. Kole Doppelheuer also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
The victory (which was Belle Vernon's seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.6 points per game. As for East Allegheny, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.
Belle Vernon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. East Allegheny also has no future games currently scheduled.
