The Pomeroy Pirates will be playing at home against the Tekoa-Rosalia Timberwolves at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Pomeroy will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
 Last Tuesday, Pomeroy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap  as they fell  49-43 to Oakesdale. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest  points Pomeroy has scored all season.
 Despite the  loss, Pomeroy had strong showings from  Jett Slusser, who  scored 16 points along with seven  rebounds and three  steals, and  Oliver Severs, who  scored 13 points along with eight  rebounds and two  steals. Slusser has been hot recently, having posted two or more  steals the last three times he's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Trace Roberts, who  scored six points along with six  rebounds.
 Meanwhile, Tekoa-Rosalia came up short against Garfield-Palouse on Saturday and fell  59-48.
 Tekoa-Rosalia's  defeat came about despite a quality game from  Isaac Bone, who  scored 33 points along with five  steals and three  blocks. That was a full 68.8% of Tekoa-Rosalia's points, marking the 15th time in a row he's  earned more than a third of the team's points.  Ziyon Marsh was another key contributor,  scoring five points along with nine  rebounds and two  blocks.
 Pomeroy's loss  ended a six-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 11-2. As for Tekoa-Rosalia, they now  have a losing record at 7-8.
 Everything came up roses for Pomeroy against Tekoa-Rosalia in their previous meeting  two weeks ago as the  team secured a  76-46 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was   Bone, who  scored 23 points along with five  rebounds and five  steals.
