The Perry Pirates extended their postseason success on Friday against the Sandy Valley Cardinals. Perry breezed by Sandy Valley at home to the tune of 34-7. The victory was just business as usual for Perry, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.
Despite the loss, Sandy Valley still got an impressive performance from Nick Petro, who rushed for 143 yards and a touchdown. Petro is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last six games he's played.
Perry's victory was their 14th straight at home (dating back to last season), which pushed their record up to 12-0. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36.71 points. As for Sandy Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
Perry will be playing at home against Garfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Garfield is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Sandy Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
