There's no place like home for the Rockwall-Heath Hawks, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They took down Royse City 74-55 on Friday. Given Rockwall-Heath's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 344th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Rockwall-Heath's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cooper Smith led the charge by shooting 4-for-8 from deep and dropping a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Smith has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Grayson Dorsey, who scored 16 points along with seven assists.
Rockwall-Heath has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season. As for Royse City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-15.
Rockwall-Heath will head out on the road to face off against the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Royse City, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Horn is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
