The Sunset Bison won against the Lakehill Prep Warriors on Thursday with 44 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Sunset managed a 44-38 victory over Lakehill Prep. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Sunset.
When it comes to explaining why Lakehill Prep lost, one person who can't be blamed is Drew Perry. Despite the final result, he scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Perry scored a full 39.5% of Lakehill Prep's points, the 15th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Preston Corder, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Sunset has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-9 record this season. As for Lakehill Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sunset will square off against Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Jefferson comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Lakehill Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Lone Star North at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
