Basketball Recap: Front Range Christian Comes Up Short

Front Range Christian lost against SkyView Academy back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Front Range Christian Falcons were dealt a 66-38 loss at the hands of the SkyView Academy Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 180th, while the Hawks are ranked 48th).

When it comes to explaining why Front Range Christian lost, don't look at Haedan Morton. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 boards. Morton is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Gavin Gold, who went 5 of 9 en route to 10 points.

Isaac Dove was his usual excellent self, going 11 of 14 on his way to 23 points along with seven rebounds and five assists for SkyView Academy. With that strong performance, Dove is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Markus Lloyd, who posted eight points and five assists.

Front Range Christian is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3. As for SkyView Academy, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Front Range Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 53-39 defeat against Dayspring Christian Academy on the 10th. As for SkyView Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 74-50 victory against Heritage Christian on the 10th.
