V Section VI recap October 29, 2013
Pusch Ridge Christian Academy extended the longest winning streak in V Section VI this week by beating Canyon State Academy, 23-12. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Lions.
San Tan Foothills took down Imagine Prep Coolidge 45-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Ricky Wilson ran for 161 yards during the win.
Caileb Bush provided a threat through the air and on the ground as San Carlos topped Santa Cruz Valley. Bush's key target this week was Bradley Joe, who caught 2 passes for 25 yards.
Bush was a beast in the backfield as the Braves defeated the Dust Devils.
Cody Cropp put up the best numbers in passing as Pusch Ridge Christian Academy topped the Rams. He finished with a total of 7 completions for 123 yards and 2 touchdowns. Cropp's favorite target this week was Ben Walker, who caught 5 passes for 80 yards.
Pusch Ridge Christian Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Lions feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jacob Frithsen has thrown for 764 yards and 13 touchdowns this season, while Walker has 23 catches for 424 yards.
As it stands, the Sabercats are in second, while San Manuel is in fourth.
