Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Haverhill). They never let the Lawrence Lancers get on the board and left with a 25-0 win on Monday. Considering the Hillies have won five contests by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Bella Lebucha (2028) made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Haverhill got a massive performance out of Kaelyn Mazzaglia (2025), who went a perfect 4-for-4 with five runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those five runs gave Mazzaglia (2025) a new career-high. Meredith Tabb (2027) was another key player, going 3-for-4 with six RBI, one run, and one double.
Haverhill hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in four consecutive matches.
Haverhill's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-8. As for Lawrence, their defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.
