The team also got some help courtesy of Gionni Zelasko, who scored 16 points along with five assists and five steals.
Nichols' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jakye Rainey led the charge by dropping a double-double on 30 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Rainey has scored at least a third of Nichols' points. Another player making a difference was Tre Paulfrey, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Nichols, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
