The Hillsborough Baptist Lions won the last time they faced the Candlelight Christian Academy Flames, and things went their way on Thursday too. Hillsborough Baptist managed a 58-54 victory over the Flames. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Hillsborough Baptist.
Candlelight Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alejandro Hernandez, who shot 4-for-5 from deep and dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominick Doers, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks.
The victory got Hillsborough Baptist back to even at 6-6. As for Candlelight Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4.
Hillsborough Baptist does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Candlelight Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Broncos at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd.
