Southwest SD came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.9 points) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Otay Ranch Mustangs as they made off with a 70-50 win. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 20 points or more this season.

Khalid Deiranieh was his usual excellent self, putting up 23 points. Another player making a difference was Noah Soltero, who posted 15 points.

Despite the loss, Otay Ranch still got an impressive performance from Jordyn Webster, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 boards. Webster's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Ace Arciaga was another key player, going 5 of 9 on his way to 16 points.

Southwest SD is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Otay Ranch, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
