Fort Meade has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. Having just played yesterday, they will get right back to it and host the Hardee Wildcats at 8:00 p.m. on January 19th. Fort Meade knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six games -- so hopefully Hardee likes a good challenge.
On Thursday, Fort Meade didn't have too much trouble with Mulberry on the road as they won 68-52. 68 seems to be a good number for Fort Meade as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Fort Meade's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nasier Berrien led the charge by scoring 20 points. Berrien is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Mekhi Berrien, who scored 18 points.
Meanwhile, Hardee's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Frostproof, falling 82-43. Hardee has struggled against Frostproof recently, as their contest on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Fort Meade has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Hardee, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.
Fort Meade strolled past Hardee in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 54-38. Will Fort Meade repeat their success, or does Hardee have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
