Bowie is 1-9 against Detroit since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Bowie Pirates just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Detroit Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on January 19th. Detroit took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Bowie, who comes in off a win.
On Thursday, Bowie didn't have too much trouble with Maud on the road as they won 51-34. The win made it back-to-back wins for Bowie.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Detroit, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 43-29 loss to Clarksville on Tuesday. Detroit has struggled against Clarksville recently, as their game on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Bowie has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Detroit, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-20.
Bowie might still be hurting after the 55-30 defeat they got from Detroit in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Bowie avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
