Baseball Recap: Whitesboro Extends Winning Streak to Three

Whitesboro entered their tilt with Holland Patent on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 12-6 margin over the Golden Knights. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by six runs or more this season.

Whitesboro pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Holland Patent, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Whitesboro will take on rival Rome Free Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Holland Patent is set to square off against their familiar foe Central Valley Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
