The Highlands Bluebirds will challenge the Campbell County Camels at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Highlands 3.7, Campbell County 1.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Highlands took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over Scott. The Bluebirds haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Kaitlyn Dixon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Highlands saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Payton Brown, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Bailee Class also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Highlands hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Scott struck out 14 times.
Meanwhile, Campbell County put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over Lloyd Memorial. The result was nothing new for the Camels, who have now won three contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Addysen Griffin made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Griffin was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.
In other batting news, Josie Feebeck was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two triples, and five RBI. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 3.5 RBI per game. Another player making a difference was Moriah Price, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.
Highlands now has a winning record of 3-2-1. As for Campbell County, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
Highlands was able to grind out a solid win over Campbell County in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 5-0. Does Highlands have another victory up their sleeve, or will Campbell County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
