Pawnee has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Pawhuska Huskies at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Pawnee strolled past Newkirk with points to spare, taking the game 58-43.
Meanwhile, Pawhuska entered their tilt with Dewey with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Pawhuska walked away with a 36-28 win over Dewey on Friday.
Trenton Miles was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Pawhuska's points. Another player making a difference was Lane Kyler, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Pawnee now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Pawhuska, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-10.
Pawnee came up short against Pawhuska when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 36-30. Can Pawnee avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
