The Vanguard School lost against St. Mary back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Friday. The Vanguard School Coursers took  a  46-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Mary's Pirates. The Coursers just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.
 The Vanguard School's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Meli Felix, who  posted 15 points and seven  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lily Blanchard, who  earned 14  points.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Mary's to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Jaela Pedro, who  almost  dropped  a double-double with 13 points and nine  boards.  Kylie Lyon was another key player,  putting up five  points and 13  rebounds.
The Vanguard School's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for St. Mary's, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won nine of their last ten contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record  this season.
 Coming up, The Vanguard School will head out to  square off against Florence  at 11:00  a.m.  on February 15th. As for St. Mary's, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  matchup,  a  44-34  win against Forge Christian on the 8th.
