On Tuesday, the Riverton Silverwolves faced the Bingham Miners in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Riverton took a hard 75-61 fall against Bingham. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Riverton's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ben Barrus, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds, and Christian Heninger who scored 15 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Heninger has scored all season. Zach Edwards was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Riverton's defeat dropped their record down to 12-3. As for Bingham, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverton will take on Herriman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Herriman is ranked ninth, while Riverton is ranked 13th). As for Bingham, they will be playing at home against Mountain Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
