The Bryan Station Defenders put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Madison Central 56-41. Given Bryan Station's advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while Madison Central is ranked 157th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bryan Station to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amari Owens, who scored 17 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Owens set a new season high mark in assists with five. Rashaad Faulkner was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three steals.
Bryan Station's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Madison Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Bryan Station will be playing in front of their home fans against Lafayette at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lafayette is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Madison Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Scott County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Scott County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Madison Central likes a good challenge.
