Rory Fitzgerald was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and a double.
Fitzgerald wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Bailey Barnett, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
