It was a good run, but the Northgate Vikings unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Harris County by a score of 47-45. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Northgate in their matchups with Harris County: they've now lost seven in a row.
Several Vikings players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jasmine Arnold, who scored six points along with five rebounds. Randria Wilcher was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds.
Northgate's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Harris County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.
Northgate will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Creekside at 5:30 p.m. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: C?india Dennis and DeAsia Stinson. Harris County won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Drew at 5:30 p.m. on January 19th. Drew will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 522nd, while Harris County is ranked 64th).
