Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Fort Wayne South Side with a sharp 14-0 win. The Cadets not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since May 6, 2024 (when they won 15-0).

Haley Hoffman and Reagan Vowles made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Hoffman struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Vowles pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those seven strikeouts gave Hoffman a new career-high. At the plate, Hoffman went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, while Vowles went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Abagail Weaver and Raelyn Koesters did most of the damage at the plate: Weaver went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run, while Koesters got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Those three hits gave Weaver a new career-high. Madi Spreen was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fort Wayne South Side only managed two hits.
Meanwhile, Lakewood Park Christian lost 17-1 to Churubusco on Monday. The Panthers have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.
Lakewood Park Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-14.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .320. However, it's not like Lakewood Park Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .320. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
