Colin Hignutt was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hignutt was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Caesar Rodney pushed their record up to 6-2-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Seaford, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Caesar Rodney has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Seaford struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Caesar Rodney's way against Seaford in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Caesar Rodney made off with a 16-4 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Riders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
