Edgewood had lost three games at home, but after bumping their record up to 6-5 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Talawanda Brave with a sharp 12-1 victory. That looming 12-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cougars yet this season.

As for Talawanda, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-9. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Talawanda's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Griffin, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Edgewood will head out on the road to face off against Monroe at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Talawanda, they will welcome La Salle at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
